Oh, this is a very strange part of writing a book. Full of contradictions. A lot of the stuff is normal for any stage of writing - you know, the floor really needs washing, the guilt when you're washing the floor rather than finishing the book, the living with the characters, the sudden shafts of a good idea, the absolutely no ideas at all.....
Well, as "The End" approaches all of the above is much magnified. I'm finding myself impatient to get back to it and thinking in terms of days rather than weeks for finishing it now.
Watch this space. Then, there will be a final, major edit.
